Read a complete manuscript and provide structured feedback. This is deeper engagement than ARC reading.
Beta readers work with a complete manuscript before it goes to the copy editor. You’re reading a finished story, not a polished book — expect some rough edges.
Your role is to respond as a thoughtful reader: what’s working, what isn’t, where you lost interest, where you were confused, what you loved. You’re not proofreading for typos.
Beta reads typically run 4–6 weeks. You’ll receive a questionnaire to structure your feedback, but you’re also welcome to leave inline notes if that works better for you.
Previous beta readers have shaped how books end. This is the stage where that kind of change is still possible.
